Inability to adapt to South African conditions quickly hurting IPL teams, feels Faf du Plessis

Cape Town: South African all rounder Faf du Plessis who plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that IPL teams are not able to adapt to the South African conditions quickly and as a reason are not deliver on expected lines.

"One needs to get used to the conditions quickly and  IPL teams are starting off slowly because these are very different conditions for them," Du Plessis said after CSK six wickets loss to Highvelds Lions on Tuesday.

"Teams used to these conditions like the Australian and South Africans are doing well,” he added.

Out of the four IPL teams, only Delhi Daredevils have a win to their credit and that too against the country rivals Kolkata Knight Riders.

Talking about CSk’s loss against Lions, he said, "I think they bowled really well and we were a little unlucky. Gulam Bodi got away with a few lucky edges for fours and he could've been out any of these times. I thought our pacers bowled very well up front.”

"It's just that the Lions got the best of the conditions. The wicket was a bit slow when they were bowling and as you saw their spinner (Aaron) Phangiso got a couple of them to turn," added Du Plessis.
