Centurion: Yorkshire qualified for the Champions League T20 after they posted a comprehensive six wickets victory over Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 149, Yorkshire rode on Gary Balance and Adil Rashid’s unbeaten 103 runs unbeaten fifth wicket partnership to reach the target with seven balls to spare.
Ballance (64 off 37) and Rashid (33 off 27) joined hands together in the ninth and batted excellently to rescue Yorkshire from a precarious 4-51.
Ballance's knock was laced with six huge hits over the ropes and couple of boundaries while Rashid played cautiously and hit three fours and a six.
The English outfit now with two wins from as many games have qualified for the main draw whereas Trinidad have crashed out of the tournament. They now have only one match left.
Earlier batting first, skipper Denesh Ramdin and Darren Bravo helped Trinidad to a challenging 148-9.
Ramdin scored 59 off 40 deliveries including six fours and a six, whereas Bravo played a watchful innings of45 came off 49 balls. Bravo hit three fours and two sixes.
Ryan Sidebottom was the pick of the bowlers for Yorkshire with his figures of 3-13.
Yorkshire 154 for 4 (Ballance 64*, Rashid 33*) beat Trinidad & Tobago 148 for 9 (Ramdin 59, Bravo 45, Sidebottom 3-13) beat by six wickets.
