Bombay High Court grant extension to DHCL to furnish bank guarantee

Mumbai: The Deccan Chronicle Holding Limited (DHCL) has been granted three more days by the Bombay High Court to furnish a bank guarantee of Rs 100 crore to the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI).

The DHCL was ordered by the high court to give the bank guarantee of 100 crores after they filed a petition against the BCCI’s decision to terminate their IPL team Deccan Chargers.

The deadline came to an end yesterday and cash stripped company had sought for extension of the period. They now have three days time to furnish the guarantee.

DHCL has also sought permission to change the nationalised bank as decided earlier by the court and raise the guarantee from a private bank.
