Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that Indian team is very good and that the team is capable of winning the T20 World Cup. India won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2007 held in South Africa.

The Indian team has reached Sri Lanka. India will play their first match against Afghanistan on Sept. 19.

Dhoni on his team said that batting is the team’s strong point. He also highlighted the fact that some of the top Indian batsmen have the ability to bowl and that is an added advantage.

On the young players, Dhoni said that they are raring to go and it is important for his team to do well in this tournament.

Indian team has not crossed the super eight stage in the previous two editions of the tournament,
