Colombo: Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni after his team’s win over Sri Lanka said that it is high time that the late middle order batsman, Suresh Raina gets an opportunity at the top of the order.

Dhoni in the post match press conference said, “Raina bats at a difficult position and it is a bit unfair to him to keep asking him to score at good pace when he doesn’t have much time in his hand. Every player wants to have an opportunity where he can score some big runs.”

Dhoni added, “The problem is that we are not able to find a player who can fit in his shoes, we need a finisher like him and then maybe Raina and I can move up the order.”

Raina has scored three half-centuries in the series and all have come in the match winning cause, two out of the three times he was unbeaten. Raina earlier expressed the feeling that he wants to bat up the order because that will give him opportunity to play a long innings and will help him to make a comeback in the Test arena.
