New Delhi: Directorate General, NCC (DG NCC) defeated Convent of Jesus & Mary Girls High School, Vadodara 9-0 in the 19th Nehru Junior Girls Hockey Tournament, played here at the Shivaji Stadium today.

Directorate Girls started the match on a rather attacking note and drew the first blood in the 2nd minute of the match through Pinki Ekka. Even before the Convent team could recompose from the first blow that Ekka found the net once again in the sixth minute.

There was no stopping the Directorate General team and started scoring at will. Such was their dominated that they sounded the cage six times before going into the breather.

After the change of ends, Jesus & Mary defended well but still managed to concede three goals.

Ekka scored four goals the winning team. She was well supported Asha Dung Dung with a brace, meanwhile Usha Minj, Priyanka Ekka and Renu Dhan chipped in with a goal apiece.
