Bopara shines as England thrash Australia for the second time in a row

Ravi Bopara’s all-round effort took England to a comfortable six-wicket win over Australia in the second one-day international, says a report in The Times of India.
Bopara scored 82 runs and picked up the important wicket of Australian captain Micheal Clarke to win the man-of-the-match award. This was England’s eighth consecutive win and they lead the five match series 2-0.

Earlier in the day, Australia decided to bat first after winning the toss and lost Warner very early in their innings, Shane Watson was the top-scorer for Australia with 66 runs.

England chasing the target of 252 saw good responsible batting from Ian Bell and Ravi Bopara. Bell scored 75 runs hitting one six and six fours in his innings. Bopara scored 82 runs and his innings included eight boundaries. Last match’s hero Eoin Morgan scored a quick-fire 43 to ensure that there is no late order jitters.
