James Milner propelled Liverpool to second place in the Premier League with a late goal and also inflicted yet another loss to Swansea city FC.
Milner's spot-kick courtesy of Rangel sealed an impressive comeback for Jurgen Klopp's team and enabled the reds to move to within two points of League leaders Manchester City. Liverpool trailed to an early Leroy Fer goal and looked second best before Roberto Firminho took control to inspire his side's fourth successful league victory.
Liverpool have been in fine form this season and have caught the attention of many football expert's whom publicly acclaimed Liverpool as one of the top contenders for the title. Not to anyone's surprise Klopp was happy with the performance of the team and said:
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said: "I thought we could have done better in the first half. Our body language was not good, we were static and it was easy to defend against us. We are not as good as we should have been. "You have to show why we are here. We showed a reaction, were more organised, clear in all situations and we deserved to win. Of course, I am happy we have had two or three brilliant games in a row.
"If Milner is our top scorer at end of the season with penalties, I have no problem with it. All is good. The performance was not perfect but it was good enough,” he said after the match.
With such impressive performances from the team, the fans are getting to see the Liverpool as it was in the early two thousand's and would want the team to continue in the same way from now on. The current Liverpool team excites not only their fans but the entire footballing community as it is a team which has set high standards for themselves in past and would be happy that the team has reinvented their performance.
Swansea, on the other hand, would like to improve their defence which has lead to their downfall not only in this game but also in several previous games.
