Not concerned with underdogs tag, says Atletico de Kolkata coach Molina

Atletico de kolkata ISL semisKolkata: Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) are not bothered about the "underdog" tag that has been thrust upon them ahead of their Indian Super League semi-final first leg tie against Mumbai City FC, here on Saturday.

"I don't think about that too much. Maybe to you (pointing at journalists) but I don't know," ATK coach Molina said.

"I am not worried about that. It doesn't matter if we are favourites or not. I don't lose my sleep thinking if we are favourites or not. My aim is to play in the best way and try to win the final," the Spaniard added.

ATK finished fourth while Mumbai topped the league table en route to the semi-finals.

Molina said he doesn't have any special plans to contain Mumbai's marquee footballer Diego Forlan.

"No special plan for him. Forlan will not play alone on the pitch. He will have 10 team-mates. Then we have to defend as a team and not against one player. We will try to defend even if they are strong players," Molina said.

ATK have drawn eight of their 14 league games. But Molina said they never play for a draw and they will go all out for a win at the Rabindra Sarovar Stadium on Saturday.

"We never play for a draw. We play to win always. If we can't win, we will try to draw. We don't want to lose but we try to win every time we go to the pitch."

Molina said there are no injury concerns bar India centre back Arnab Mondal who has a slight "problem".

"Today we have no injury worries. Only problem is with Mondal. He is the only problem we have right now."
