Jadeja becomes third fastest left-hand spinner to get 100 wickets after Mankad and Ojha

ravindrajadejaMumbai: Ravindra Jadeja became the third fastest left-hand spinner to get 100 wickets in Test cricket after Vinoo Mankad and Pragyan Ojha. He got this achievement in his 24th Test while Mankad in 23rd and Pragyan with the quickest in his 23rd match. This year his performance is par excellence, especially in Test matches.

Jadeja has been a mainstay of the Indian bowling setup in the last two years. He got his 100th wicket by dismissing English skipper Alastair Cook for 18. He impressed everyone not only with his bowling but also played a match winning knock in the Mohali Test. His 100 wickets haul in 24 tests is equally fastest as Ryan Harris, Jason Gillespie, Lance Gibbs while being just one Test slower than Shane Warne and Glen Mcgrath.

He posted his highest score (90) with the bat in the Mohali Test. His previous best was 68 vs England at Lord's in July 2014. This was also the third highest by number eight player in Tests at Mohali.
