Mirpur: A superb all-round performance by Suresh Raina (38 off 21 balls and 3/45) and some good batting by Shikhar Dhawan (75 off 73 balls) and Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (69 off 77 balls) at the top helped India beat Bangladesh by 77 runs in the third and final ODI at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on Wednesday.
Batting first, India made 317/6 in the allotted 50 overs and later bundled out the hosts for 240 in 47 overs. With this win, India saved themselves the blushes of a 0-3 whitewash at the hands of Bangladesh.
Shikhar Dhawan made 75, while MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu contributed 69 and 44 respectively to India’s total.
For Bangladesh, captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza turned out to be most successful bowler with 3-76 while Mustafizur Rahman scalped 2-57.
Later, Suresh Raina rattled the Bangladesh batsmen with his with his part time off-spin, taking 3-45. Dhawal Kulkarni (2-34) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2-35) too played their parts with the ball for India.
