Sayantan Das beats third seed Raghuram Rao

Sayantan is maintaining his top slot after won the nine round match with 8.5 points in the open section.


Kerala’s 2nd seed Sunilduth Lyna Narayanan settled for a draw with Tamil Nadu’s 5th seed FM Aravindh Chithambaram Vr. 6th seed Vignesh Nr of Tamil nadu also settled with for a draw with Andhra Pradesh’s 27th seed Dhulipala Bala Chandra Prasad in another key match of the day.


Amongst the girls, Maharashtra’s 2nd seed WFM Pujari Rucha beat 9th seed Lasya G of Andhra Pradesh move into the tenth round with 7 points. While Tamil Nadu’s 3rd seed Saranya J settled for a draw with 5th seed Michelle Catherina P of Tamil Nadu. Saranya who played with Black is second placed with 7 points.


Goa’s 6th seed Ivana Maria Furtado settled for a draw with 15th seed Varshini V from Tamil Nadu. On the other table Tamil Nadu’s 7th seed WFM Mahalakshmi M beat her state mate 8th seed WFM Monnisha GK has collected total 7 points. 4thseed Nandhidhaa PV of Tamil Nadu beat Orissa’s 25th seed Smaraki Mohanty.


Maharashtra’s 54th seed player Soham Dater settled for a draw with UP’s 65thseed Atul Kumar. UP’s Eshan Lawaniya Beat Jatian Panwar of Haryana. Lower rated Shubham Jaiswal of UP settled for a draw with UP’s Unrated Charan Krishn. UP’s Rajorshi Ray beat Tushar of Himachal Pradesh.
