IOA expects not to be punished for keeping Kalmadi

Suresh KalmadiNew Delhi: Suresh Kamadi is not going to be sacked, announced Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Kalmadi was released on bail last month after serving around one year jail time.

IOC has been putting pressure on IOA to take stern action against Kalmadi from a long time. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, the acting president of IOA will continue to head the esteemed body.

Kalmadi has still not resigned from the president’s post of the IOA. But, he has mentioned in a letter to IOA that he would not be representing the organization in any manner, confirmed Malhotra.

The IOA expect not to be punished by the IOC for their action.
