Ross Taylor moves to Delhi Daredevils for IPL 5

New Delhi: Delhi Daredevils are on a buying spree and after buying Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene, they have now acquired New Zealand skipper Ross Taylor from Rajasthan Royals for the fifth edition of Indian Premier League.

 

Taylor earlier represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first three seasons of the IPL, before moving to Rajasthan Royals in the last season.

 

Delhi Daredevils Team Mentor TA Sekar said he was very happy after bring Ross on board and said, "We all know what a quality player Ross is and we are happy that he will be with us this season. We are confident that we have a very competitive side and can have a good run in the coming edition of the Indian Premier League."

 

Sekar said that the management has given it a thought and have decided to put up a strong batting line up.

 

"Besides our captain Virender Sehwag and David Warner, we have added muscle to our batting by inducting Mahela Jayawardene, Kevin Pietersen and now Ross Taylor into our fold," he said. "Our fans can look forward to some explosive knocks."
