Mumbai: Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan defeated Purav Raja 6-3 6-4 to reach the finals of the USD 15,000 CCI-ITF Futures tennis tournament .
Jeevan looked in good touch from the start and broke his opponent’s serve in the sixth game to take the lead. He never allowed Purav to get back in the set and won the set comfortably.
In the second set, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan got the break in the third game and never looked back from there.
He will now face Croatia's Mate Pavic in the finals.
Meanwhile, doubles pair of Purav Raja and Saket Maineni defeated N Sriram Balaji and Arun Prakash Rajagopalan 6-0 4-6 10-8 to win the doubles title.
