Mandya Open: Vijayant Malik in in semis

ITF TennisMandya: The top seed players, led by Vijayant Malik, duly made it to the semi-finals of the Prem Sugars ITF Mandya Open tennis tournament Thursday.

Top seed Malik defeated Chinese Bowen Ouyang 6-4, 7-5 in a one-hour-43-minute match while No.2 Ranjeet Virali Murugesan blasted past Vignesh Veerabadran 6-4, 6-0.
Third seed N. Sriram Balaji prevailed over Kaza Vinayak Sharma 6-2, 6-4, while fourth seed Saket Myneni overpowered his French opponent Sebastien Boltz 6-3, 6-4.

In the semi-finals, Malik will take on Balaji and Murugesan goes up against Myneni.

The duo of Sriram Balaji and Arun-Prakash Rajagopalan entered the doubles' final by defeating Kunal Anand and Ajai Selvaraj 6-2, 6-4, to set up a title clash with Myneni and Ouyang, who beat the Indian pair of Kunal Anand and Ajai Selvaraj 6-2, 6-4. (IANS)
