Pro Kabaddi League: Jaipur Pink Panthers edge out Bengaluru Bulls 30-28

Pink Panthers PKLRiding on terrific raiding performance of Jasvir Singh and a rock-solid defensive display of Manjeet Chhillar, Jaipur Pink Panthers recorded a nervy30-28 victory over Bengaluru Bulls in Inter Zone Challenge match of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League. . Jasvir Singh ended up with 10 points whereas Manjeet scored 8 points for Jaipur which was a record for fifth season of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League. Bengaluru Bulls almost came back to win in the last two minutes but Jaipur kept their nerve to hold on to an important win.

It was Jaipur Pink Panthers’ second win of the campaign whereas Bengaluru Bulls crashed to their fifth defeat.

Jaipur Pink Panthers began strongly as they led 5-2 after minutes with their defence inflicting damage on Bengaluru Bulls raiders. Bengaluru Bulls were a bit slow to begin with but Rohit Kumar brought them back into the game. Rohit Kumar scored with a do-or-die raid in the 15th minute as Bengaluru Bulls leveled the match at 8-8. Bengaluru Bulls inflicted an all out in the next minute as Rohit Kumar scored two more points to give his team 12-8 lead.

Jasvir Singh came with up an incredible super raid in the 16th minute to as Jaipur Pink Panthers made it 11-12. Jaipur Pink Panthers tied the game at 12-12 in the 19th minute. Jaipur Pink Panthers forced an all out in the 20th minute as they went into the break leading 17-14.

Jasvir Singh scored his eighth raid point in the 23d minute as Jaipur led 19-14. Bengauluru Bulls really didn’t turn up for the first five minutes of the second half as they failed to score a single point in six minutes. ManjeetChhillar attained a high-five as Jaipur extended their lead to 21-14 after 27 minutes. Jaipur Pink Panthers inflicted another all out in the 29th minute to lead 26-16.

ManjeetChhillar was a rock at the back for Jaipur as they dominated the first ten minutes of the second half. Bengaluru Bulls’ defence managed just four tackle points in the first 30 minutes of the match. Two tackle points by Bengaluru reduced the deficit to eight points as they trailed 20-27 after 34 minutes.

In the last five minutes, Bengaluru Bulls’ challenge was to reduce the defeat margin to seven or less points. Ajay Kumar scored with a raid point in the 39th minute as Bengaluru Bulls trailed 23-29. Jaipur were reduced to just one man as Bengaluru Bulls launched a comeback and trailed 25-29. Bengaluru Bulls inflicted an all out in the dying seconds to reduce the deficit to just one point and trailed 28-29. Jaipur survived a scare and Jasvir scored a raid point in last second of the match to win 30-28.
