New Delhi: Government High School Kawnpui (Mizoram) beat ST Anthony’s High School, Monte-DI-Guirim (Goa) by 22-0 in a one-sided match in the 34th Nehru Sub Junior Hockey Tournament being played at Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi, on Sunday.
The goals were scored at regular intervals in the 6th, 7th, 19th ,30th,32nd , 33rd , 37th ,40th , 42nd , 44th,46th,47th , 49th ,50th , 54th, 56th ,51st,57th, 60th,61st,66th,and 69th minute of the match by Govt High School. The goal scorer of the match was Emannuell, Lalruatdika, C Lalnunsanga, Zothanpuia, and Lalduhsanga respectively, while Government Senior Secondary School, while ST Anthony’s High School, Monte-DI-Guirim could not score any goal.
In the second match, BL Public Senior Secondary School, Alwar (Rajasthan) beat Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hussainpur (Punjab) by 23-1.The goal scorers of the match were Chetan,Karan, Sachin,Ajay, Romit,Ravi and Gaurav in the 13th, 15th ,17th, 20th, 44th, 26th , 29th ,32th, 37th ,46st ,51st,31th,33th, 48th,53rd, 54th, 56th,59th,34th, 49th, 43rd,58th and 61st minute, respectively. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hussainpur could manage only one goal through Akash Kumar in the 10th minute.
In the third match played on Sunday, Rao Brij Mohan Public School Paprawat (Delhi) beat SDN Senior Secondary School Rajnandgaon (Chattisgarh) in a one-sided match by 9-1.
In the fourth match played on Sunday Saheed Bishan Singh Senior Secondary Memorial School, Delhi beat Baruipur High School, South Pargana by 8-0.
