Derabassi: The 3rd Tricity Junior/Amateur Golf Championship was played at the ATS Golf Course, Derabassi on October 9. More than 50 junior golfers from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala, Jalandhar and other parts of Punjab participated in the event. 

It was a hot and sunny day which made playing conditions extremely fast and difficult. The ATS Golf Course was a surprise for everyone as its greens and fairways were maintained at par or better than most top courses.

In Category A Boys, Amritlal won while Sanju was the runners-up and Sandeep finished thrid. In Category B Boys, Ikram Bhattal took the top position, while Yuvraj Hara finished runner-up and Janish Jeev Singh was second-runners up.

In category C Boys, Aditya Sood was declared the winner, while Divyansh was the runners-up and Ranvijay the second runners-up. Vasu Sehgal was the champion in Category D Boys with Gurpreet Minhas finishing second, while Aryaman was second runners-up.

Nadar won in Category D Girls while Bhuvika Bhise of Manav Mangal Smart School finished runners-up. Category E Boys had Krish Chawla as the winner, Fatehbir as the runners-up and Ekveer Minhas the second runners-up. Miraya Goyal won in Category E girls.

In the Amateur Category Vivek Gupta was the winner, Atul the runners-up and Mukesh the second runners-up.
All the tee markers in this tournament were placed in such a way that the yardages of each hole were similar to the yardages in most of the International Junior Golf Tours.
