New Delhi: Winning captain of the Indian Premier League Season Five, Gautam Gambhir said that he shares a very special relationship with Kolkata Knight Riders' owner Shah Rukh Khan. Gambhir said that Shah Rukh is a great guy and he never interferes in the cricketing matters of the team.

Gambhir further thanked his owner and said that he has been an inspiration for all the team members and he shares a healthy relationship with all the KKR players.

On his captaincy, Gambhir said that a captain is as good as his team and the credit goes to each and every member of the team. He said that this year all the players made small contributions and that really made the difference.

He also thanked the people of Kolkata saying that his team got a lot of support from the Kolkatans and the people deserved the title.  

In a TV interview, Gambhir also said that he puts his team above his captaincy and if there ever is a time when he feels that he is good enough in the playing eleven for a match, he won’t hesitate to drop himself for the a team’s cause.
