Bollywood stars set the stage on fire in IPL-5 opening ceremony

Chennai: IPL-5 opening ceremony once again proved the strong relationship that is there between cricketers and Bollywood. A number of top rated starts performed in the opening ceremony of the second richest league of the world. It was looking as if all the superstars of India gathered at one place to start one of the most anticipated events of the year. Cricketers and Films Stars are the two prized commodities in India and whenever they come together for a cause more often than not it’s a super hit.

Thousands of people attended the ceremony at the YMCA ground and cheered their favorite superstars and cricketers.

The biggest face of Indian Cinema, Amitabh Bachchan started the event by a beautiful poem. Big B’s voice and his presence itself on the stage were good enough to give goosebumps to the people who were present in the stadium. That was followed by what Bollywood is known for in the rest of the world-the miraculous dancing.

One of the leading ladies of Hindi Cinema, Priyanka Chopra took the stage and mesmerized everybody with her dance moves. She is one of the most loved celebrities and she sure does know how to impress a crowd. The best thing about her performance was when she got the Mumbai Indians captain Harbhajan Singh to dance with her.

Priyanka after her performance interacted with some players including the Indian captain MS Dhoni and that was also a fun session.

Priyanka left the stage and another super lady came to entertain the big crowd, Kareena Kapoor took the centre stage. Kareena danced on some latest tracks from her movie and entertained one and all.

Now was the time for some male leads to entertain the crowd, and the local superstar Prabhudeva came on the stage.  Prabhudeva, who is one of the best dancer in the country showed why he is called Indian Michael Jackson. He danced with immense flexibility and stunned the crowd.

Salman Khan is one of the biggest superstars and has the maximum fan following in the country. He has a unique style of dancing and he showed every bit of it. Salman in his patent style entertained the crowd and set the tone for the next two months.

Going by what we saw during the IPL ceremony, a lot of entertainment can be expected this season. For the next two months cricket and Bollywood will go hand in hand and it will be really difficult for anyone to keep their eyes of from what is one of the most entertaining competitions.
