Find out more about Philippine’s Angelo Que, a three-time Asian Tour winner, as he talks about his aim in golf and how he would describe himself as a golfer.


What is the one tournament that you want to win in Asia and around the world?

I hope to win the prestigious Maybank Malaysian Open which is one of the biggest tournaments in Asia. As for the other tournament that I hope to win around the world, I guess it would be the US Open.


If there was one rule of golf which you can change, what would it be?

We (players) should get a relief when our ball lands in a divot on the fairways.


How would you describe yourself as a golfer?

I am a fun golfer!


Which golf course do you really want to play on?

I really hope to play at the Augusta National Golf Club one day!


What would you do if there’s no internet or television in your hotel room during the tournament week?

I would probably be playing cards with my friends on Tour or watch my favourite movies on my laptop.


What is your best advice received as a professional golfer?

The best advice that I received as a professional golfer is to enjoy the game and take it easy.


When you win a golf tournament, who do you want to see when you sink that winning putt?

It would definitely be my wife, Tracy.


What is the oldest club in your golf bag?

It would be my putter. It’s about ten months old.


If you are not a professional golfer, what would you be?

I have never thought about that before. I guess I would probably be working at a golf club if I am not a professional golfer.
