Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “Will miss you on the field yaar @virendersehwag. U r the gentlest coolest & bravest of sportsmen I have ever come across. Love & health to u.”

Menahwile Ayushmann Khurrana tweeted that Sehwag’s innings were edge of the seat thrillers. “@virendersehwag's innings were edge of the seat thrillers. Calm in his head, aggressive with the bat. Our all time best attacking batsman,” he wrote.

Meanwhile former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar tweeted that one of the best deal that he got in life was watching Virender Sehwag bat for free. “One of the best deal that I got in life was watching Virender Sehwag bat for free. #SehwagRetires.”
