Strong field for Nothern India Ladies Golf

Eastern India Golf: Aditi,Gurbani and Millie to fight for supremacyJamshedpur: Aditi Ashok, current leader on the IGU Order of Merit for Ladies will lead a strong field for the Usha Eastern India Ladies amateur golf tournament starting October 4.

The tournament to be played at the Golmuri Golf Club in Jamshedpur, will see Millie Saroha, winner of the Usha Northern India title earlier this month, Gurbani Singh, winner of the Usha Southern India title earlier in the season and Raksha Phadke, Gursimar Badwal and Ankita Kedalya will be other strong contenders.

Aditi Ashok, 14, is just back from the Team World championships in Turkey, where India finished 34th, and should be in good form. While she leads the rankings in both Ladies and Junior girls, she is yet to win one of the Regional Majors on the Usha IGU Amateur circuit.

In the younger Categories, C and D, Arushi Pandey, Tanishka Kumar, Vasundhara Tihara will be the ones to watch.

Usha, a major supporter of Indian golf, is proud of its long term association with the sport, covering the entire spectrum of the game.
