Yograj Singh, cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father, has said he will not attend his son’s wedding on November 30 at a gurdwara in Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, says a report in Hindustan Times.
“It is my misfortune that I will not be attending the traditional wedding of my son ... I had told Yuvraj’s mother that I will not attend the wedding if it is solemnised at any guru or dera sect or involves any religious guru. It’s destiny, I will not go. I only believe in God and not religious gurus,” Yograj said.
The left-hander is getting married to British-Mauritian model and actor Hazel Keech.
According to a report in The Financial Express, he will be present at the Mehndi function organized at Hotel Lalit on November 29 to bless the couple. According to the report, Yograj was in all praise for Hezel and said that she will make positive changes in the family by bringing the family members come together. “Even though she has been brought up in a western culture, she is rooted and gives a lot of importance to values and traditions,” he said.
It may be mentioned here that Yuvraj’s parents were divorced years ago after which he chose to stay with his mother.
