I can't wait for the excitement, to get on the field and bat: Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh, who fought cancer and made his way into the team once again, said that he is counting the hours daily on his impending return which he described as a "huge moment" in his life, says a reort in The Indian Express. “It is going to be huge moment in my life. I can't wait for 8th (September) to come in. Everyday, I put up status message, counting the number of days left. So two-three days, some hours to go. I can't wait to get on the field. I can't wait for the excitement, to get on the field and bat," he said.

“As it is this environment that I am used to. That is something that I have been doing since the age of 15 to 17... since I was a kid. So when that was taken back from me I was shocked. It is like when a child gets his first Christmas gift and how he is waiting to open it, what is in store...it is like that," the man of the tournament in the 2011 World Cup stated.

Meanwhile The Times Of India reports that Yuvraj Singh won the battle against cancer in real life and now, his fans can get to see it on reel. A documentary, 'Zindagi Abhi Baki Hai', will depict the 30-year-old cricketer's fight against the dreaded 'C' and how he came out triumphant. The documentary, which will be aired in three parts, will be shown on two prominent entertainment channels in November.

"The documentary is a reflection of what a cancer patient goes through. I wanted it to be documented as I wanted it to be an inspiration for those who live in denial. It is my story. I want everyone to live their life all over again," Yuvraj said on Wednesday.

The cricketer said he worked really hard on his fitness. He also took to meditation to keep his mind calm and focused. But there's still a thought that the cricketer's return to the team was more an emotional one.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Yuvraj, who was the hero of India's 2011 World Cup win, said when he was diagnosed with cancer the only thought in his mind was that of "saving his life". "Before cancer life was happy go lucky and the only tension was about my future, career, to win matches. But when I was diagnosed with cancer I only used to think about saving my life. When I came back home saving my life I was thankful to god for giving my life back," Yuvraj told reporters.
