Rio de Janeiro: Three days after scoring a hat-trick in the Libertadores Cup, Internacional's Leandro Damiao scored twice in his team's 7-0 victory against Juventude in the Rio State championship. Apart from Leandro Damiao, debutante Jaja scored twice in the match Saturday. Additionally, Jaja made two assists, leading to goals from Jo and Oscar. Datolo scored Internacional's remaining goal in the impressive win.
The result means Internacional is still undefeated in the state tournament, also known as the Farroupilha Cup with a 3-0 record, standing in first place of Group A with 9 points.
Before returning to the state championship March 25 against Sao Jose, the team will prepare for its fourth round of the group phase in the 2012 Libertadores Cup on the road against Bolivia's The Strongest March 21.(IANS)
