Shweta More clinches gold medal, Alok, prashant bag silver in Asian Beach Games

SHWETA MOREDA NANG: Shweta More won India their second gold medal in Vocotruyen in the Asian Beach Games. Although, the Indian Vocotruyen team is participating for the first time in any International event, they have given outstanding results by achieving almost half of India’s medal tally, including one gold by Shweta More (Below 52 kg women’s weight category) and eight bronze medals (Aboli Ashru, Bhagyashree Shankar Mahable, Shubham Nakate, Shrinay Gulab Jadhav, Ramit Bharat Waghole, Shreeyash Vijaykumar Chavan, Harshsal Tanaji Garad) in individual fighting weight categories.

Alok Kumar along with Prashant Singh also made India proud by clinching silver medal in Song Luyen Ma Tau (Dual Sword Performance) in Vietnamese Martial Art, Vovinam. Both Vovinam and Vocotruyen are traditional Vovinam martial arts.
