Dubai: Day two of the Coca-Cola IPTL 2015 in Dubai saw Philippine Mavericks face off against table-toppers Micromax Indian Aces, who are enjoying an unstoppable victorious run as defending champions this year. At the 3 sets down, an unexpected downpour stopped the match. Once the rains stopped, some quick work by the team in drying out the courts saw the match resume after 20 minutes. The absence of their player-coach, and the rain gods combined could not stop the Micromax Indian Aces from winning the match 24-23 ultimately, maintaining their top spot on the league tables!

Match Summary:

- With player-coach Fabrice Santoro calling in sick, the Aces fielded Rohan Bopanna, albeit not a legend, but to keep fans engaged at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, and viewers tuning in across 150+ countries. Bopanna may have won the set, but with no legend substitute for Santoro, the Mavericks win it 6-0, giving them a great start to the evening.

- Women’s singles saw Radwanska win 6-4 against Tomljanovic to give the Aces a solid start first up

- The mixed doubles pairing of Mirza/Bopanna won it yet again for the Aces against Gajdosova/Roger-Vasselin winning the set 6-4. The end of the set saw a heavy downpour and the match was stopped temporarily

- Bopanna/Dodig walked out on court raring to go, shooting down 4 aces, taking the set to a shoot-out but ultimately wining it for their team 6-5

- In the men’s singles, in his second match of IPTL 2015, Tomic seemed more at ease with the quick pace of the game, and despite 9 powerful aces from the big-serving and towering Karlovic, he won the set 6-4 closing the match in favour of the Indian Aces
