Chris Gayle’s controversial sideline interview with Mel McLaughlin was not a one off, according to another reporter who labelled the West Indian cricket star a “creep”, says a report in the Herald Sun, adding Fox Sports cricket reporter Neroli Meadows said she has had a similar experience to McLaughlin, describing Gayle as “a creep”.

“I don’t get offended easily, but I plead that people understand that this isn’t a one off. Just listen,” she said on ABC Grandstand.

According to a report in Sydney Morning Herald, The Fox Sports and ABC reporter said the former West Indies Test captain was a repeat offender when it came to being disrespectful towards women working in the media.
Speaking on ABC Radio on Tuesday morning, Meadows and ESPN Cricinfo reporter Melinda Farrell were asked to comment on Gayle's treatment of McLaughlin.

Mid-game, Gayle said he had agreed to the interview with McLaughlin "just to see your eyes for the first time". On air he went on to ask the journalist out for a drink, telling her not to blush.

Meanwhile, the head of Cricket Australia has joined the criticism of Chris Gayle’s suggestive comments to a female reporter during an interview broadcast live on Australian television, saying the former West Indies captain’s behaviour bordered on harassment, says a report in The Hindu.

According to a report in Daily Mail, Melbourne Renegades opener Chris Gayle has been fined $10,000 by his KFC Big Bash League club following comments he made in an interview with Network Ten reporter Mel McLaughlin. The Jamaican apologised earlier today for what he labelled a "simple joke" that left McLaughlin "embarrassed, angry and upset" after a boundary line interview during Monday night's KFC Big Bash League match in Hobart.

Gayle said his comments had been "blown way out of proportion" after he awkwardly suggested he and McLaughlin "should go out for a drink" after the match was over.
