Kozhikode: Bengal Nagpur Railway (BNR), Kolkata etched their names forever on Monday night.
The Railwaymen stunned Air-India (Mumbai) 3-2 and lifted the E.K. Nayanar Gold Cup at the Corporation Stadium in front of more than 10,000 spectators.
They were not among the favourites by any stretch of imagination when this all-India tournament started 12 days ago, but the way they played in the semifinal against Mumbai FC, another I-League team like Air-India, had raised hopes of a close final.
