Bhullar, Rashid among others to play in Players Championship from April 7

Gaganjeet Bhullar kensvilleAhmedabad: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), ‘the official sanctioning body of professional golf in India’, will stage the inaugural PGTI Players Championship presented by Kensville Golf & Country Club from April 7 - 10, 2015. The sixth tournament of the 2015 PGTI season, carrying a prize purse of Rs. 30 lakh, will be played at the Kensville Golf & Country Club, Ahmedabad.


The tournament will feature a strong field including the likes of Asian Tour regulars Gaganjeet Bhullar, Rashid Khan, Rahil Gangjee, Chikkarangappa and Himmat Singh Rai as well as other prominent Indian names such as current Rolex Rankings leader Mukesh Kumar, Shamim Khan, Chiragh Kumar, Khalin Joshi, Shubhankar Sharma and Harendra Gupta, to name a few.


The leading foreign players in the field are Sri Lankans Mithun Perera, N Thangaraja, Anura Rohana and K Prabagaran as well as Australian Kunal Bhasin and Bangladesh’s Md Zamal Hossain Mollah.
