It’s a painful loss tonight as I was a long way from the final: Rafael Nadal

In the biggest upset of the Wimbledon so far, Lukas Rosol world number 100 pulled off one of the greatest upsets in Wimbledon history by defeating world number two Rafael Nadal  6-7 (9/11), 6-4, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in the second round, reports The Hindustan Times.

"It's like a miracle for me. So many emotions. He's a superstar, I am sorry for that. I played unbelievable. I guess Nadal is only human," Rosol was quoted in HT.

Rosol after the win became the lowest-ranked player ever to beat Nadal at a Grand Slam and has matches his best performance in Grand Slams. Nadal who recently won the French Open defeating the world number one Djokovic has played in the last five Grand Slam finals.

Rafael Nadal after the loss against Lukas Rosol said that it was like an accident in sport and is not a tragedy, says a report in The Times of India.

"I played against an inspired opponent and I am out. That's all. It's not a tragedy. It's only a tennis match," as Nadal was quoted by TOI.

He added, “At the end, that's life. There are much more important things. Sure, I wanted to win, but I lost. It's not a tragedy.”

Nadal did admit that it was very painful to lose in only the second round, “I feel very well mentally. But physically, you need to rest. I played for the last six months, playing almost every match possible in the tournaments that I played. I need to stop a little bit."
