Rome: Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna lost their semifinal match against Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez 4-6, 1-6 in the ongoing ATP Rome Masters.

The seventh seeded Indian pair lasted only for 65 minutes before surrendering in two sets. Bhupathi-Bopanna lost the first set 6-4 an would have looked to make a comeback to take the match in the tie-breaker.

It didn’t happen as the Spanish pair stormed into the finals dropping only one game in the second set.

The Indian pair missed breaking their opponent’s serve twice in the second set and that proved fatal for them.
