New Delhi: Maria Sharapova who came to India to announce her partnership with UK-based real estate company Homestead, said that it is amazing to be in India.

Maria said that it has taken her so long to be in the country where she has a huge number of fans, on her career she said that she had a tremendous last year and a little break allowed her to be here.

Maria who is here only for a day said that there is so much energy in the city and she really likes the culture and people here.

Sharapova said that it won’t be possible for her to visit Taj Mahal this time but said that she would love to go to the market and get some souvenirs.

On her rivalry with Serena Williams, she said that It has been long since they played and she was a great talent. Maria said that Serena is an incredible player and has achieved so much of success in her career.
