RCB Corporate Cricket Championship 2015: HCL wins T-20 title by beating FlipKart

Selfie time for Manvinder Bisla and Yuzvendra Chahal as they pose with the two captains from HCL and FlipKart before the T 20 finals of the Royal Challengers Bangalore Corporate Cricket ChampionshipBangalore: After three weekends of action packed cricket, the finals of both the T-20 and T-6 competitions of the RCB Corporate Cricket Championship 2015 were held on Sunday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. HCL were victorious in the T-20 competition final while HP ITO were victorious in the T-6 competition final.

Adding to the occasion were RCB stars in the avatar of 'Super Subs' Manvinder Bisla and Yuzvendra Chahal who participated in both the semi-finals and finals of the T-20 competition for one over each. Bisla was used as an opener for Accenture in the second semi-final between HCL and Accenture while Chahal was used to open the bowling for HCL in what was called the 'Battle of the Super Subs'.

While Bisla scored 37 runs off 18 balls in his three outings, Chahal took 1-17 in the three overs that he bowled. Bisla's contribution in the T-20 final helped FlipKart reach a score of 179 while Chahal's only wicket was of the FlipKart opening batsman who was later given the 'Best Batsman of the Series' award.

The scores of the two finals are as follows:

T-6 FINAL - HP ITO VS HCL (HCL WON THE TOSS AND BOWLED FIRST)

HP ITO (54/3 in 6 overs) beat HCL (35/5 in 6 overs) by 19 runs

T-20 FINAL - HCL VS FLIPKART (HCL WON THE TOSS AND BOWLED FIRST)

HCL (149/2 in 14.5 overs) beat FlipKart (178/9 in 20 overs) by 38 runs (D/L method)

There were also a set of individual awards given out during the post-match presentation for the tournament. These awards were given out by representatives of Value Designbuild, led by Verghese Koshy, Managing Director, Value Designbuild, the presenting sponsor of the RCB CCC 2015.

- Man of the Series: Adithya (HCL) with 124 runs and 8 wickets including the MOTM winning 50 in the semi-finals against Accenture
- Best bowler: Sirish (Accenture) with 16 wickets to his name including a hat-trick, the only one of the tournament in the T-6 quarter-final against HCL
- Best batsman: Shahbaz (FlipKart) with 140 runs including the MOTM winning 50 in the semi-finals against VM Ware

Post the success of the corporate championships in the first two editions, this year's sponsor included, a presenting sponsor - Value Designbuild Pvt Ltd, Associate sponsors Swiggy and Kingfisher, while Amazon.in were the official gifting partners and 7 Concepts were the equipment partner for this edition of the corporate cricket championships.
