USACA appoints Sunil Kumar as project manager for Nationals

Lake Worth, Florida: United States of America Cricket Association (USACA) today announced the appointment of Sunil Kumar as the Project Manager of the USACA National Championships to be played in Indianapolis from August 21 to 24, according to a media release of the association.

Kumar is the President of Northern California Cricket Association (NCCA, one of the oldest Leagues in USACA), since 2012. As such, he has been responsible for the hosting of several professional grade cricket tournaments attracting top teams and players. He has been instrumental in establishing League- wide automation of scoring and implementing CricHQ as the platform for scoring in their tournaments. He has established strong partnerships with the Mayor and other city officials in the Bay Area.

Kumar has served on several USACA committees, including the Constitution Review Committee, the CEO selection Committee, and currently, the Governance Implementation Committee. Professionally, Kumar has over 27 years of experience in the IT industry holding several leadership positions in the technology business, including a stint as Vice- President and head of Singapore business operations, as Director of Sales and business Relationship for the Mid-West Region and as Global Director for Strategic Relationships, driving engagement with a multi- billion Dollar Financial Conglomerate

As project Manager, Kumar will be responsible for working with the City of Indianapolis (COI), the various Regions and Stakeholders to complete all the projects and logistics necessary to deliver a first class tournament in Indianapolis in August 2014.



He will be working with the current Tournament Advisory Committee made up of the following members: Owen Grey, Regional Representative, SER, Keith Gill, Regional Representative, AR, Mir Ali, Regional Director, SER, Chubby Bedessee, Operations Manager, Bedessee Imports, David Ladd, COI Liaison, Parag Pandya, President, Indy Legends CC, Herbert Smythe, Playing Conditions/ Statistics, Mascelles Bailey, USACA, Executive Secretary.
