Dubai: India's Rohan Bopanna and his Polish partner Marcin Matkowski advanced to the final of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships defeating Indian veteran Leander Paes and Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 here on Friday.

Both the pairs shared honours in the first two sets but Bopanna-Matkowski played with much more power and energy in the super tie-breaker to come out winners 10-6 and enter the final of the hard court tournament.

Earlier, Rohan Bopanna and Marcin Matkowski had advanced to the semi-finals defeating Romania's Florin Mergea and Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-3 6-4 in the quart-finals here on Thursday.

Playing with his fourth different partner of the season, Bopanna and Matkowski had shocked second seeds Ivan Dodig and Marcel Granollers 5-7, 6-3 11-9 in the opening round of one of the hard court tournament.
