India defeat Thailand by huge margin of 73-20 in Kabaddi World Cup semis, to meet Iran in final

Kabaddi WC India TeamAhmedabad: India defeated Thailand by a huge margin of 73-20 to enter the finals of the inaugural Kabaddi World Cup on Friday. It was a one-way traffic as India cruised to their victory in no time. Thailand didn't show up tonight as they were under pressure from the start of the game.

India did extremely well in both attack and defence. Every raider of India got the points in attack. Ajay Thakur, who has been in fantastic form throughout this tournament, again performed well and completed his super 10 fourth time in this tournament. He now has most super 10 in the tournament.

On the other hand, the strong point of Thailand was their attack, but today they looked very fragile against the mighty Indian defence. Thailand's raider Khomsan Thongkham was expected to make a mark in this match but India did well to keep him out of play for maximum time. They also made small errors which allowed India to increase their lead.

With this mighty win India entered the finals of the Kabaddi World Cup and they will be up against Iran in the finals. As expected from the start of the tournament, the two strongest teams -- India and Iran -- made it to the finals. Iran beat Republic of Korea in a thrilling first semi-final by 28-22.

It is going to be a tough task for India as Iran are also a very highly rated team to lift the World Cup. It is going to be a great face off in the finals on Saturday.
