BCCI once again has its way against the controversial DRS

Kuala Lumpur: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has always been against the Decision Review System (DRS) and once again they have had their way as the ICC board failed to ratify its use in Test matches and ODIs after Indian board’s opposition for the use of the technology.

ESPNcricinfo report said that ICC's executive board was not put to a vote despite the fact that it got support from most of the nations. In the meeting chaired by ICC President Sharad Pawar, the issue of the use of DRS was brought up but was not discussed.

DRS would still be used only after the playing teams mutually agree to it. Earlier, Chief Executive’s Committee (CEC) said that it was satisfied with the improvements in technology and submitted their report to ICC.

10 Full Member nations and three representatives of Associate and Affiliate nations participated in the meeting.
