Chennai Super Kings Versus Rajasthan Royals: Players to watch out for...

Chennai Super Kings will host Rajasthan Royals in what is expected to be a very interesting match. Both the teams are coming on the back of thumping victories and will be confident about their chances.

Chennai Super Kings started the tournament as the favorites to win the title; they are the defending champions and have the best record out of all the teams in the history of IPL. But, this tournament has been a bit different for them as out of the six matches that they have played they have won three and lost three.

Royals, on the other hand entered the tournament as the underdogs but after six matches they find themselves on number two in the points table. Royals have played very well and have gelled together as a team. It is expected to be a close fought contest as both the teams have some game changers in their side, let’s have a look at some of these players:

Chennai Super Kings:

Dwayne Bravo: Bravo has some played some crucial innings for the Chennai Super Kings. He has always found himself in a situation where he has to hit the ball right from the moment go and he has responded pretty well in the situation. Bravo will be looking to have a full bat in this match.

MS Dhoni: His innings made the difference in the last match that CSK played against Pune Warriors. The problem with him is he saves himself for the end and whenever he comes at the top of the order he plays far too defensively. CSK will be hoping for their captain to play a quick-fire innings.

Suresh Raina: Raina has been struggling with the bat, but with the ball he has been quite effective. He is a very smart off-spinner and can be deceptive in the death overs. He also has the ability to bowl with the new ball in the field restriction.

Ravindra Jadeja: Jadeja has been bowling well in the tournament and CSK will be hoping for him to repeat his performance. Jadeja is an intelligent bowler and changes his pace very well.

Rajasthan Royals:

Johan Botha: In the last IPL season he won Royals quite a few matches with his bat, but this season he has struggled with both bat and bowl. Botha has been a very good performer over the years and he will be desperate to prove his worth for the team.

Owais Shah: Shah has been a revelation this season. He has scripted most the Royal’s win and he once again will be looking to play a decisive innings. Shah can hit the ball to a great distance and can compel the bowlers to bowl bad balls.

Brad Hogg: The oldest player in the tournament has bowled quite well in the matches that he has played. He has outsmarted a number of batsmen in the series and will be very effective on the Chennai pitch that always offer some turn.

Amit Singh: He is in the list of the top wicket takers for this season and that proves how effective he has been. He is very hard to pick and can deceive batsmen with the steep bounce that he gets. He is expected play a great role in the match against the defending champions.
