Hockey: Sushila Chanu completes 100 international caps for India

Sushila Chanu 1New Delhi: Indian defender Sushila Chanu played her 100th International match when he took onto the field against New Zealand in the ongoing Fintro FIH Hockey World League Semi-Final in Belgium on Tuesday.

The 23-year old Sushila from Manipur is one of the key players in the national team since being part of the team. Hailing from Manipur, she has to her credit of playing all important international tournaments and recently played the all important FIH Hockey World League Round 2 where India finished as a winner and the Hawke's Bay Cup 2015. She even has to her name of leading the Indian Junior team for a bronze medal finish at the 2013 Junior World Cup at Mönchengladbach, Germany.

Congratulating Sushila Chanu on her achievement, Hockey India's Secretary General Md. The defender has been an integral part of Indian women team and always gives her best performance in matches of all levels.
