Usha Southern India golf: Gurbani leads after round 2Bengaluru: Gurbani Singh took a one shot lead over Aditi Ashok after the second round in the ongoing Usha Southern India Ladies at the KGA Bengaluru on Wednesday. Gurbani, who was lying second after the first day moved to the top with a second round card of 74 which gave her a total of 148.

She is one ahead of Aditi Ashok, the local star, who with a 74 is now at 149. Overnight leader, Amandeep Drall (73-81), slipped down with a round of 81 and at 154 she was tied for fourth with Millie Saroha (74-80).


Gauri Monga making a comeback to the circuit after a year off due to examinations, also shot 74 and moved up from seventh to third at 152.

Gurbani had just one birdie against three bogeys, while Aditi Ashok had two birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey. Gauri Monga had three birdies, but she also had three bogeys and a double bogey as the top three shots identical 74s.

Defending champion Mehar Atwal (77-82) was off colour for the second day running and she is now way back in tied 12th place at 159.

Gurbani and Aditi were one-two in the overall category and also combined for A and B. Aditi was leading in Category B with Ridhima Dilawari (80-77) second.

In Category C, Tanrika Singh stayed on top with a round of 84 for a total of 175 and Harnemat Toor Kaur (93-89) was second and Riya Ahuja (91-92) third.

In Category D, Vasundhara Tihara (91-93) was the leader and Tanishka Kumar (93-92) was second.
