New Delhi: Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis were in for a real scare in the semi-final of St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy as the number one seeds were driven to the wall by Spaniards Anabel Medina Garrigez and Arrantxa Parra Santonja, here on Saturday.
However, Sania -Martina kept their winning streak intact as they recorded their 39th win (7-5, 6-7 and 10-6) to storm into the final. The battle lasted for nearly two hours.
They will now face Vera Dushevina and Barbora Krejcikova in the finals.
