Raipur: S Sarjubala of Manipur defeated Sweety of Haryana to win the gold in light flyweight category at the First Monnet Steel Elite Women’s National championship which concluded here on Thursday.
The RSPB (Railway Sports Promotion Board ) clearly dominated the Championship , sweeping the Champions Trophy, with a tally of six gold medals and 52 Points. Haryana claimed the runner’s up cup.
The tournament saw the participation of 32 States and two boards. 213 boxers participated in the six day championship, which began on October 11, 2014 at Indoor stadium of Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
